ARTIST BIO
Australian four-piece [Me] are purveyors of theatrical rock, combining classical piano, vocal harmonies, choirs, grooves and soaring guitars, which comes off like the soundtrack to a vampire movie set in revolutionary France – with laser beams.

The band has just showcased at Australia’s largest music conferences: QMusic’s BigSound summit, and the One Movement industry conference in Perth.

[Me] has two singles, Working Life, which blasted its way onto Triple J earlier this year, and Westward Backwards, which has an accompanying stop-animation music video.

The music video was made almost entirely out of still photos – a combination of pixilation and digital matte painting – and was created from start to finish by TOAST Films, a partnership of Swinburne University students.

Regularly torching live arenas, the quartet pull in quite the kaleidoscope of elements into their stage show. Percussion jams, a’capella, synth science and orchestral sounds are all infused into the live rock format.

Further excitement is brewing around their forthcoming debut album, set to feature vocal arrangements, guest string section, 12-string guitars, synth programming and the occasional choir. It will be as [Me] are described:

“A private musical for your eardrums.”
