In 2005/2006 ARIA Best Female Artist nominee Jade MacRae redefined pop music in Australia with her amazing song-writing talents, vocal abilities, beauty & style. Since appearing as the face of Australian R&B on the cover of US music ‘bible’ Billboard magazine, Jade’s debut album has produced three hit singles, received critical acclaim and was nominated for a host of prestigious public & industry voted awards including; the Australian MTV Award for Best Urban Release, the APRA Award for Best Urban Release, ARIA Awards for Best Urban Release & Best Female Artist, the Australian Dance Music Award for Best Urban Release, and took home the Urban Music Awards for Best R&B Album & Best Female Artist. Along the way Jade was invited to tour with US superstars James Brown, Nelly and John Legend. Personal highlights for Jade also included sold-out shows across the country, performing to a combined audience of 35 million for a World Cup Soccer qualifying match and starring in Australia’s nationally televised weekly prime-time ratings winner “It Takes Two” on Ch 7. One of Who Weekly’s Most Beautiful People of 2006, Jade has recently spent time in NYC, LA & Sweden writing and recording, and is currently putting the finishing touches on her new album due out in early 2007.
