In the early 90’s he was the founding member of Melbourne RNB band CDB who covered and shot the Earth Wind & Fire track “Let’s Groove” to the top of the Australian charts and made it the highest seller of the year. Gary has since become one of Australia’s most gifted songwriters, penning chart topping hits for Guy Sebastian, Anthony Callea, mrTimothy and German pop sensations Monrose. Gary was also blessed with the opportunity to co-write the theme song “Receive the Power” for World Youth Day 2008 with Guy Sebastian and now “Saint Mary MacKillop” as endorsed by the Sisters of ST. Joseph.
Gary has received praise from music royalty around the world. He received a standing ovation from Motown legend Smokey Robinson and accolades from Stevie Wonder after performing at his daughter Sophia’s 16th birthday. Gary has worked on Australian Idol as backing vocalist and vocal coach almost since its inception and has the ability to transform voices in a single lesson.
