Following an electrifying start to 2005, 67 Special are pleased to announce the release of a new EP, ‘Boys & Girls’, on March 20.
The five-tracker includes two brand new songs – ‘Boys & Girls’ and ‘Pretty Mess’ – from their forthcoming debut album, plus three, previously unreleased b-sides.
The EP has a unique reversible cover with dual artwork representing the two lead tracks, with frontman Ash Santilla’s own painting, “Punks In Love”, the key art for the ‘Boys & Girls’ cover.

The title track is delivered to radio on February 14. The video is being shot in Melbourne this weekend with accomplished young filmmaker Jonathan Messer, recently returned from LA where he was working with Hollywood producers Kennedy-Marshall (The Sixth Sense, Signs, The Bourne Identity).
67 Special released their ‘Hey There Bomb’ debut EP in August 2004 which spawned the Triple J hits and Net 50 faves ‘Hey There Bomb’ and ‘Last Drag’. ‘Hey There Bomb’ also received airplay from Nova, and they were selected as a Triple M Launching Pad Artist. Videos for both songs were produced by Fish N Clips and received strong support from MTV and Channel [V].
Throughout 2004, 67 Special made their mark with live festival performances including Rockit, Meredith and Peaches & Cream, plus the On The Beach summer tour with Dallas Crane. They also played heavily around their home town of Melbourne to rave reviews: “Whatever the influences and directions, this was music worth seeing – dynamic, enthusiastic, invigorating. The band’s Andy Baldwin (Cat Empire) produced debut album will be released in July 2005.
